GATE TIMINGS

Gates open at 6:00 PM (5:00 PM for Richard Ashcroft).

We expect the entertainment to begin at 7:00 PM and end at 10:30 PM.

We recommend arriving early to soak up the atmosphere.

Show times are subject to change.

BOX OFFICE

The box office is located near the main entrance to the Open Air Theatre, opposite Northstead Lower Car Park.

Opening Hours:

  • 1st May – 31st August: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Open Daily)

  • Closed on Wednesdays (except when a concert is scheduled)

  • Concert Days: 10:00 AM until the end of the concert

TRAVEL INFORMATION

The Open Air Theatre is situated on Burniston Road (A165) YO12 6PF

Car

There is ample parking near the venue if you're driving to a concert:

  • Scalby Mills Car Park (YO12 6RP) – 180 cars, 6 coaches

  • Marine and Royal Albert Drive (YO11 1PG) – 794 cars

  • Northstead Upper (YO12 6AQ) – 556 cars

  • Northstead Lower (YO12 6PF) – 98 cars

  • Victoria Park (YO12 7TS) – 36 cars

  • William Street (YO12 7PL) – 110 cars, 33 coaches

In addition, there are several town centre car parks within a 15-minute walk of the venue.

REMINDER: Parking in all council car parks is free after 6:00 PM.

Please be considerate and avoid parking on grass verges, across driveways, or in areas where it may cause an obstruction.

Vehicles arriving from North

Traffic coming from the A165 (Whitby direction) will be directed to Northstead Upper Car Park.

  • Just after the junction with Cross Lane, vehicles will continue straight ahead.

  • Before the former Burniston Road Car Park, vehicles will be directed to turn right onto Weydale Avenue.

  • There will be a sign at the junction with Weydale Avenue directing vehicles to turn right onto Weydale Avenue, then left onto Ryndle Crescent, leading to Northstead Upper Car Park.

Vehicles continuing straight and ignoring these signs will be directed to turn right at the junction of Northstead Manor Drive, then right again at Ryndle Crescent, taking them back to Northstead Upper Car Park.

Vehicles arriving from South

There are two main southern approaches: one along Columbus Ravine and the other via Marine and Royal Albert Drive.

Approaching from Columbus Ravine:

  • Vehicles will be directed from the bottom of Columbus Ravine to take the first exit at the roundabout onto Burniston Road.

  • Just after, vehicles will turn left onto Northstead Manor Drive and then right onto Ryndle Crescent, leading to Northstead Upper Car Park.

Approaching from Royal Albert Drive:

  • Vehicles coming from Royal Albert Drive will take the second exit at the roundabout onto Burniston Road.

  • Shortly after, vehicles will turn left onto Northstead Manor Drive and then right onto Ryndle Crescent, leading to Northstead Upper Car Park.

Official taxi ranks are located at Peasholm Gap, accessible via the South Entrance of the venue.

Public transport

Buses to South Bay and the Town Centre also operate after shows from Peasholm Gap.

The nearest train station is Scarborough Station (YO11 1TN).

Please note: These services are provided by private operators and are subject to a charge.

Pick Up and Drop Off

Pick-up and drop-off points are located at Peasholm Gap, just around the corner from the Scarborough Open Air Theatre. It's approximately a 5-minute walk (around 400 meters).

Please note: At the end of the show, a temporary road closure will be implemented directly outside the venue on Burniston Road to ensure the safety of guests leaving following the concert.  While this closure is in place, vehicle diversions will be clearly signed, and access to nearby routes may be restricted. Please allow extra time for your onward journey and follow any steward or signage instructions as you leave.

Ticketmaster

Your Ticketmaster tickets will be delivered via the Scarborough Open Air Theatre 2026 app.

Download the app on iPhone or Android to access your Ticketmaster tickets.

For quick and easy entry, please transfer tickets to the rest of your party before arriving.

  1. Open the Scarborough Open Air Theatre app and go to My Tickets in the More menu.

  2. Log in with the same email address used for purchasing your Ticketmaster tickets.

  3. Tap My Events and then Transfer Tickets. You can also add tickets to your Apple/Google Wallet.

  4. Enter the recipient’s email address and hit Transfer Ticket.

  5. The person receiving the ticket must also have a Ticketmaster account.

Other Ticket Information

Standing

Your tickets will be digitally sent to you, and you should receive them no later than 5 days before the event. If you still haven’t received them by then, please contact us for assistance.

For standing tickets, you’ll need to scan your ticket twice: once at entry and again at the wristband exchange. Please ensure you have your ticket ready at each check until you receive your standing wristband.

Seated

Rows with double letters (e.g. AA, BB) are located towards the back of the block, starting after rows A-Z.

Please note that for tickets purchased in the coloured blocks, you will need to climb steep stairs to access them. Also, be aware that some people around you may stand during the performance.

CAN I BRING CASH?

All food concessions and bars are cashless. Please bring alternative payment options.

 

FOOD AND DRINK

You are not permitted to bring food or drink into the venue, except as noted below:          

  • One sealed water bottle (maximum 500ml) per person.
  • One empty reusable water bottle per person.

A wide array of food and drink stalls will be available inside the venue, offering something for everyone throughout the night. Free water refill stations will also be available. 

If you have a medical condition or specific dietary requirement (e.g. allergies, coeliac, diabetes), please contact us in advance to request permission to bring food or drink for personal consumption. Supporting documentation, such as a doctor’s letter or confirmation from the NHS app, will be required.

CAN I BRING A CHAIR?

Chairs are not permitted in the arena at TK Maxx Presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre.

Mobility aids that include a seating function, for example wheelchairs, are not affected by this policy and are permitted as standard.        

BAG POLICY

Bag searches will be in operation at all entry points.         

No rucksacks or backpacks larger than A4 size are permitted.   

If you require a larger bag for medical reasons — for example, to carry medication, medical apparatus or food and drink required for a medical condition — please contact us in advance to request permission. Supporting documentation, such as a doctor’s letter or confirmation from the NHS app, will be required.

IS THE EVENT OUTDOORS?

Yes, we are an outdoor venue with no cover, so please keep the British weather in mind. We recommend dressing suitably for the weather, bringing sun cream on sunny days, and preparing for wet ground if it has rained.           

The concert will go ahead as planned, even if it rains. Umbrellas are not permitted.

MEDICAL AND WELFARE

Medical and welfare facilities are available on site. Please ask a member of security to direct you if needed.            

You may bring any medication you require — no need to contact us in advance.             

Please note:  

  • Medication should be in its original packaging with the prescription label clearly visible.
  • The name on your ID must match the name on the prescription.
  • Only bring enough medication for the duration of the event.
  • If your medication is loose or not in its original packaging, you must bring the prescription or a doctor’s note.
  • Keep your medication safe with you at all times.

Be prepared for screening at entry points, and keep any supporting documents ready if requested.

CHILD POLICY

All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder (aged 18+). This adult must remain on site throughout the event as the under-16’s guardian. No unaccompanied under-16s are allowed on site.          

Children aged 2 and under may attend free of charge and do not require a ticket. All other children must have a full-price ticket to enter the festival. Please check the age restrictions for each show before purchasing tickets.     

Children are allowed in the standing area, but their accompanying adult is responsible for them in all areas of the venue.

Please note: We do not recommend exposing children to loud music for extended periods. Hearing protection is advised, and a concert environment may not be suitable for very young children.             

Prams are not permitted into TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre. 

PROHIBITED ITEMS

CAMERA POLICY

Professional cameras are not permitted in the venue.      

Permitted:      

  • Non-professional recording equipment (e.g. point-and-shoot cameras, flip video cameras, etc.)

Not Permitted:            

  • Professional recording equipment (photo, video, audio)
  • Detachable zoom lenses, tripods, or other commercial equipment
  • Selfie sticks

SMOKING AREAS

There are three designated smoking areas within the venue, located at the North, South, and top of the venue.

Electronic cigarettes are not permitted in the seating or standing areas.

Guests wishing to use electronic cigarettes are asked to do so within the immediate vicinity of the designated smoking areas.

If you smoke outside of these areas, you may be asked to leave the venue. In this case, no refund will be issued, and re-entry will not be permitted.

RE-ADMITTANCE POLICY

Once you leave the venue you will not be allowed back in.
